Gwalior Mansik Arogyashala (GMA), located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, is an autonomous institute under the Department of Medical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1935, it has been a major center for mental health services, psychiatric treatment, and clinical training in India. The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) recognizes GMA Gwalior’s MA Clinical Psychology (RCI) (formerly MPhil in Clinical Psychology) program, ensuring it meets the regulatory requirements for professional training in clinical psychology.
GMA Gwalior offers the following programs in clinical psychology:
The MA Clinical Psychology (RCI) (formerly MPhil Clinical Psychology) program at GMA, Gwalior, includes supervised clinical training, assessment, and therapeutic intervention. Successful completion of the program makes graduates eligible for an RCI license to work as clinical psychologists in India.
The number of seats available and the duration of the MA Clinical Psychology (RCI) program are as follows:

Selection in GMA, Gwalior’s MA Clinical Psychology (RCI) (formerly MPhil Clinical Psychology) program is based on an Offline Entrance Examination.
To get admission in GMA, Gwalior’s MA Clinical Psychology (RCI) (formerly MPhil Clinical Psychology) program, candidates must follow the following process:
Important Note: The exam fee mentioned is based on last year’s [2025] GMA application form. The institute will not consider applications submitted without the fee or any other relevant documents. Applicants must also carry the original certificate, mark sheets, testimonials, caste certificates or residential/disability certificates, and other relevant documents at the time of the entrance examination.
