Classroom GATE EXAM: PSYCHOLOGY

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, and it is a national-level exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on a rotational basis. The GATE Exam is conducted to assess the aptitude of candidates for admission to postgraduate programs in engineering, technology, and architecture.

The career scope for those who clear the GATE Exam in Psychology is quite wide. Some of the potential career paths include:

• Pursuing a postgraduate degree: Clearing the GATE Exam in Psychology can open up opportunities for students to pursue postgraduate degrees in the field, such as an M.Sc. in Cognitive Science. These programs can lead to careers in Cognitive Science/Psychology, clinical psychology, Neuropsychology, and organisational psychology.
• Research: Students who clear the GATE Exam in Psychology may also choose to pursue a career in research, either by working as research assistants or by pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology. This can lead to careers in academic institutions, research organisations, or private companies.

GATE Psychology Examination Pattern:

• The duration of the exam will be 3 hours
• The GATE Psychology Exam consists of 2 sections as given below:
  General Aptitude (GA):  15 marks.
  Section B1(Reasoning and Comprehension): 25 marks.  
  Psychology Paper(C5): 60 marks
• Total: 100 Marks (General Aptitude + Reasoning and Comprehension + Psychology Paper)
• Questions will carry 1 mark and 2 marks and there will be negative marking for wrong answers 1/3 of the question carries 1 mark and 2/3 of questions carry 2 marks.

Duration of the course and about the test series:

The course takes 6-7 months to complete the syllabus. However, we do provide support to the students until the entrance exam. Besides, three sections are provided to our students along with lectures: self-assessment, mock test series, and practice tests.

Classes are exclusively provided for Psychology subjects and not for other parts like English or aptitude.
