The M.Phil in Clinical Psychology and MA Clinical Psychology (RCI) is a 2-year postgraduate hospital-based program that is the best path to obtaining a clinical psychologist license in India. In India, Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) grant licenses and allows people to practice legally and professionally across the country.
This course is different from other postgraduate degrees; this program is developed for accumulating practical clinical skills, rigorous diagnostic training, and therapeutic understanding.

Yes, if your Master’s is not an RCI-recognized Clinical Psychology degree (earlier known as MPhil in Clinical Psychology). In that case, you must complete an RCI-approved clinical qualification to be eligible for licensing.
If you have completed MA Clinical Psychology (RCI-recognized), then you do not need another degree. You can directly apply for registration and obtain your license from the Rehabilitation Council of India.
