Ranchi University on behalf of the Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (RINPAS) has released the applications in the prescribed format for admission to M. Phil in Clinical Psychology and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology for the academic year 2022-2024.

About RINPAS:

RINPAS is the second most popular institution after the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) located at Ranchi state of Jharkhand which is working in the field of Mental Health and Research. It is one of the RCI Recognized institutes for the M.Phil Clinical Psychology course.

RINPAS was established in a series of acts that dates back to 1795 A.D. when it was established as the Lunatic Asylum in Munghyr near Ganga River, and in continuation of that series of events the events continued and at last on 10th January 1998 the name of RMA was changed to its current status Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (RINPAS).

Name of the Course: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology

Eligibility: Diploma/M.Phil. in Medical and Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology (2 years).

Number of the Seats: 04 (Four)

Duration of the course: 2 years

Name of the Course: M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology

Eligibility: M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology of a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate (as per RCI guidelines).

Number of the Seats: 12 (Twelve)

Duration of the course: 2 years

Stipend: ₹8,000/-

Application Fees:

For UR: ₹1200/-

For ST/SC Candidates of Jharkhand: ₹600/-

The application fee needs to be submitted in the form of a demand draft, and the original demand draft drawn in favor of the Registrar, Ranchi University, Ranchi Payable at Ranchi should be attached with the duly filled application form.

Application Procedure:

The candidates are required to print and fill out the application form in the correct manner and the duly filled form will be submitted at the Office of Controller of Examinations, Ranchi University, Ranchi. The application form should contain a self-attested photocopy of the candidate’s final year mark sheet (P.G. Course/ M.Phil. as applicable) and other relevant documents as well. A Demand draft of the application fees should be attached with the application form.

Entrance Test Pattern:

The question paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice type questions based on the prescribed syllabus at PG level of University at the National level. 2 (two) marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 (one) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
