The Department of Clinical Psychology offers various post-graduate, doctorate, and fellowship programs including an MPhil Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Clinical Psychology course. Almost 2000 candidates appear for the NIMHANS M.Phil Clinical Psychology Entrance from PAN India. Whereas, the institute has a total of 32 seats for M.Phil. Clinical Psychology program. Out of those 32 seats, 03 seats are for External Fellowship, and 06 seats are for Karnataka Domicile. 23 seats are for the All-India Category which is further divided into unreserved, SC, ST, and EWS.

A candidate with an MA OR M.Sc degree in Psychology with not less than 55% marks in aggregate is eligible to appear in the Entrance examination of M.Phil Clinical Psychology at NIMHANS.

NIMHANS M.Phil. Clinical Psychology Exam Pattern

M.Phil Clinical Psychology Entrance at NIMHANS is conducted in online CBT mode at various centers in Bangalore only. The best thing about this entrance is its transparency, candidates can see their entrance score immediately after the submission entrance exam. However, the merit list and final result announced later.

The Entrance carried a total of 100 multiple-choice questions and the time allowed is 90 minutes (1.5 hours). Each question carries 1 mark for correct answers and there is a negative marking of ¼ (0.25) for wrong responses. Candidates should note that there is no interview and the merit list will be based on entrance scores only.
