Dayanand Medical College & Hospital is a 1625-bed tertiary care, NABH-accredited teaching hospital in the state of Punjab, affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab.
Method of Selection
- Basis of Selection
- Primarily, Entrance test score + Interview performance.
- If seats remain vacant, candidates with higher marks in the qualifying exam (MA/M.Sc.) fill them.
- Tie-Breaking Criteria
- The Applicants who have Higher marks in MA/M.Sc. Psychology/Applied/Clinical Psychology will be given First preference.
- If a tie still occurs, the older candidate (as per the Class X certificate) gets preference.

- Basic Requirements
- Applicants for the course must hold an MA/MSc degree in Psychology from a UGC-recognised university, with a minimum aggregate score of 55% (50% for reserved categories).
- Calculation of marks will follow Baba Farid University’s Registrar’s rules.
- Course Enrollment Rule
- A student already enrolled in another course can apply only after completing/passing the first course.
- Must submit an undertaking confirming this.
- Concealing facts leads to disqualification.
- For Government/PSU Employees
- Applications must be sent through the employer.
- Advance copies may be submitted directly, but a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer must be produced at the time of the entrance test.
- Without NOC, the candidate will not be allowed to appear.
Exam Pattern
- The Written Exam will include 80 multiple-choice questions.
- The medium of the Entrance Examination will be English.
- The Questions will be based on the PG Level (MA/MSc) Psychology course.
- The total time allotted for the exam will be 90 minutes.
- Every correct answer will result in 1 mark. There’s NO negative marking.
- The final selection of the candidate for the course will be based on the total marks obtained in the Entrance Examination (Written Exam — 80 Marks & Interview — 20 Marks).
