CUET PG Admissions Open for MA/M.Sc in Psychology

The application forms for CUET PG Session 2023 are finally out. The students who were eagerly waiting for this may read the application procedure and apply now. The Code of the Psychology course is now HUQP20. The details of the courses and institutions included in CUET PG are also available below.

This article includes all the details of the CUET PG Psychology Entrance Exam and the list of participating universities. It also includes MA/M.Sc Applied Psychology, Health Psychology, Sports Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Advanced Diploma in Counseling Psychology.

About CUET PG

CUET PG is a common entrance examination conducted by NTA for admission into various universities and colleges in India. The CUET PG 2023 includes 142 central and other universities in which 51 universities provide Psychology. The list of these universities is mentioned below and it includes Delhi University, BHU, AUD, and 8 Central Universities as well.

Eligibility of CUET PG Psychology

The Eligibility Criteria for CUET PG Psychology depend on the course(specialization) and the universities that a candidate is applying for. The General Eligibility Criteria can be a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The non-psychology background students are also eligible to apply for CUET PG. However, the students should read the eligibility criteria of the institution before that apply for that particular institution.

Role of National Testing Agency in CUET PG

The National Testing Agency is responsible to register the candidate for CUET PG and conducting the Examination. The NTA will also be responsible for the hosting of the answer keys, inviting challenges, finalizing Answer Keys, preparing and declaring results, and hosting Score Card. The merit list will be prepared by the Participating Universities and Institutions. Also, the universities may conduct their personal/individual counseling session on the basis of the scorecard of CUET PG 2023. NTA will provide the Scorecard of the participating candidates.

Application Procedure of CUET PG:

The students should visit the Apply Now link and register as new users. Then, fill up some of their details and make a user id and password. The candidate is now Signed in as a Registered Candidate. The candidate should fill out the application step by step. The application includes Personal Details, Program Details, Academic Details, and Document Upload Details. After paying the application fee the forms will be completed and submitted. The Last date to apply for the same is 05th May 2023. Click here for the Admission Notification. Step-by-Step Guide

Application fees for CUET PG: 

The Application fee is different according to the category of the candidate. The fee for a General Category candidate is ₹1000 for upto three test papers and Rs.500/- will be added for each additional test paper. For OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS the fee is ₹800 for upto three test papers and ₹400 will be added for each additional test paper. For SC/ ST/ Third Gender the fee is ₹800 for upto three test papers and ₹400 will be added for each additional test paper. And, for PwBD the fee is ₹800 for upto three test papers and ₹400 will be added for each additional test paper.

Examination Pattern for CUET PG:

The Mode of the Examinations will be offline at the centers of NTA. CUET PG will be conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. The Type of Questions will be MCQ (Multiple Choice Question). The duration of the Examination will be 120 Minutes (2 Hours). The examination will be conducted in 2 shifts. Shift-1 will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and Shift-2 will be from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM. Furthermore, the total number of questions will be 100 where 25 will be general and 75 will be Psychology questions. The total Marks that a candidate may achieve will be 400 and there will be a negative marking of 1 Mark.
