M.A. Psychology or M.Sc Psychology is a post-graduate master’s degree. As a course, it allows you to delve deeper into psychology after your graduation. Covering topics from developmental psychology to psychotherapy, the course ensures that you are ready to enter the field of psychology as a professional at the end of two years. Several colleges across India offer this course. Some of the best colleges/universities are Delhi University, Fergusson College, Jamia Millia Islamia, BHU, University of Calcutta, TISS, and many more.
The procedure for admission to MA or M.Sc Psychology entrance varies across colleges/universities.
Many institutions conduct entrance exams for admission. Some colleges conduct online exams while some conduct offline Entrance exams. Based on the results of the exam, interviews are conducted for the short-listed candidates for some exams. You should note that to be eligible for the course, you must complete your graduation. However, it is not necessary for the graduate degree to have a specialization in psychology because of few universities like Delhi University, Jamia Mila Islamia, Ambedkar University Delhi, Savitribai Phule Pune University, BHU offer MA Psychology to those students too who are graduate without Psychology Subject.
The pattern of entrance exams also varies from one to another like TISS has a different process. At the 1st Stage of the admission process, TISS conducts a common exam called TISS-NET, and the following sections they covered in the TISS-NET exam: English proficiency, Mathematics, and Logical reasoning, General Awareness(GA).
This online course covers the entrances of all the Institutions including TISS-NET.
