PhD Psychology Admission open at the University of Allahabad


The application forms for CRET 2022 are available now for 43 subjects and 709 seats. These applications include PhD in Psychology. The applications are available at the University of Allahabad. It includes 316 seats in the Departments/Centres and 393 seats in Constituent Colleges of the university. Further details regarding the same are as follows.

The University of Allahabad is a central University based in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Initially, it functioned under the University of Calcutta. The University of Allahabad was established on 23 September 1887 and the Central University status was re-established through the Act 2005 by the Parliament of India. It is also considered the University of National Importance. It is one of the oldest universities in India and it was known as the Oxford of the East.

PhD in Psychology

PhD Psychology at Allahabad University is a 3-to-6-year program. The candidate must have a master’s degree in Psychology/Applied Psychology with 55% marks to apply for this program. The admissions are conducted through CRET-2022.

Examination pattern

The mode of the Examination will be offline and candidates have to visit Prayagraj for this. The Level-1 of CRET 2022 will have 2 papers.

Paper 1 includes 50 Objective types of questions of 2 marks each. There will be 25 subject-specific questions and 25 Research Methodology questions. Also, there shall not be any negative marking. The paper-2 of the CRET level-1 will have various small, medium, and long-type questions. The aggregate makes of both papers will be 300.

Application procedure:

The students should visit the Apply Now link and register as a new applicant. Then, fill up their details and attach their related documents. To complete the application the candidate should pay the application fees. After paying the Application fee the application procedure will be completed. The University will conduct the entrance examination according to its Schedule. The notification for the examination schedule will be out shortly. The Last date to apply for the same is 14th March 2023.

The candidates who have cleared the NET/JRF should appear in CRET Level-1 & Level-2. The Teacher candidates of the University and Constituent colleges, army officers,s and international candidates can skip to appear for CRET Level-1 Test.
