Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Delhi, invites applications from eligible candidates for MPhil in Clinical Psychology course for the academic year 2025-2027.
About IHBAS
IHBAS, Delhi, is a hospital-based autonomous academic institute under the Government of Delhi. The institute is known as one of the top institutions in India for M.Phil in Clinical Psychology. IHBAS also records one of the highest patient and outpatient volumes among mental institutions in India. Their MPhil in Clinical Psychology program is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Method of Selection
The selection in MPhil in Clinical Psychology at IHBAS, Delhi, will be based on the marks obtained in the test conducted by the Examination Department, University of Delhi (DU). The entrance exam will be of the MCQ type.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission
- Candidates must have an MA or MSc in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks and 50% for candidates under all the reserved categories.
- Candidates appearing in the MA/MSc final exam can also apply; however, they must present their final MA/MSc passing Certificate/Mark sheet at the time of the entrance test.
Exam Pattern
- The Entrance test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions from various topics of PG Level psychology course. For more details, click here.
- Total time allotted is one and a half hours (1.5) hours
- There will be NO negative marking.
- After declaring the results, the university will call selected candidates for counselling and document verification.
- There will be NO Interview; the candidate’s selection will solely be based on their performance in the test.
- Once qualified, the selected candidates must join the course after paying the necessary fees on or before the dates mentioned in the selection letter; failing to do so will result in immediate cancellation of admission. The Institute shall then offer such seats to the candidates in the waiting list, in the order of merit.

Application Procedure & Fee Details
To apply for the MPhil Clinical Psychology program at IHBAS, Delhi, candidates must download the application form attached below. The duly filled application form along with all the necessary documents should be sent to:
“Head, Department of Clinical Psychology, Room No. 122, Academic Bloc, 1st Floor, IHBAS, Dilshad Garden, Delhi-110095” only by registered/speed-post or delivered personally on or before July 31st, 2025.
(Application sent through e-mail/online submission will not be accepted.)
The application fee is Rs 3000 for General category candidates and Rs 1500 for Reserved category candidates. The application fee is to be deposited into the IHBAS’s Bank Account. The Completed application form must be submitted along with proof of fee payment via Net or Online Banking. The application fee is non-refundable & non-adjustable.

Stipend
IHBAS will pay stipend to the selected candidates @ RS.25000 per month, excluding in-service and foreign candidates.
UPDATE: IHBAS Exam Date Extension
The Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Delhi, has made an official announcement regarding the date of its entrance exam for MPhil Clinical Psychology. The exam will now be conducted on Sunday, September 28th, 2025.
