Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Jaipur, has opened admissions for the MPhil Clinical Psychology for the 2025-2026 academic year. Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, also referred to as MGUMST, is part of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Science and Technology, located in Jaipur. The university, initially founded in 1999, was led by Dr M.L. Swarankar, a renowned gynecologist and expert in IVF and microsurgery. On 2 October 2001, the Medical College and Hospital were established as a constituent of the university.
Method of Selection
Selection for the MPhil in Clinical Psychology course at MGUMST, Jaipur, will be based on an Offline Entrance Examination, consisting of a written test and an Interview.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants applying for the course must have a Master’s degree in Psychology from a UGC recognized university with a minimum of 55% in aggregate and 50% for the students of SC/ST category.
Pattern of Entrance Exam
- The Written Exam will include 50 multiple-choice questions, and the medium of the test will be English.
- The Questions will be based on the PG Level (MA/MSc) Psychology course, including Clinical Psychology, Research Methodology & Statistics, General Psychology, and Psychological Testing.
- There’s NO negative marking.
- There will be an interview & Counselling, and only the shortlisted candidates will be invited for them.
- The final selection of the candidate for the course will be based on the total marks obtained in the Entrance Examination (Written Exam and Interview & Counselling).
Course Duration and Number of Seats
- Duration: 2 Years, Full-time course.
- Number of Seats: 10 (Ten).
- Total Tuition Fee: 3 Lakhs (1.5 per annum).
MGUMST reserves seats for admission according to the Rajasthan State Government’s reservation policy. The university considers candidates from other states under the general category.

Application Process & Fee
- To gain admission to MGUMST University’s MPhil Clinical Psychology program, candidates must visit the university’s online application portal.
- Once there, Candidates must register themselves and then use those credentials to log in. E-mail ID entered by the candidates will be their user id, and mobile number will be the password. Use them to log in to the portal, to access the admission application form.
- Then, fill out the form carefully and upload the necessary documents. Candidates must pay the application fee of Rs 3000 (non-refundable) while submitting their application. Students can find the path to the payment gateway through the application form.

Fee Structure for the MPhil Program at MGUMST
Selected candidates must pay tuition fees by the date mentioned in their provisional admission letter. At the time of admission, the following additional fees are required:
- Caution Money: ₹20,000 (interest-free, refundable at the end of the course)
- Enrolment Fees: ₹25,000 (not required for students already enrolled at MGUMST, Jaipur)
- Candidates must submit a migration certificate; the university will charge extra fees for late enrolment.
- Eligibility Fees: ₹7,500 (not required for students already enrolled at MGUMST)
- Registration Fees (PG courses only): ₹24,000 for M.Phil. (Clinical Psychology), to be paid within 2 months of admission; late payment will attract additional fees.
