An important update for students who want to pursue their Master’s degree in Psychology at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. For several years, TISS conducted its own entrance exam for its all-postgraduate programs, but now it has totally changed. From the academic year 2024, TISS admissions will be based on CUET-PG scores. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has adopted Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) for its postgraduate programs.
The students, who have completed their bachelor’s and are preparing for their Master’s in Psychology including Psychology discipline for TISS will now have to take CUET-PG test in order to take admission into TISS. On November 14, 2023, a public notice has been announced by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) on this.
In the observation of the above, TISS has determined that the admissions for the upcoming Academic Session 2024-25 for all the postgraduate programs will be based on CUET-PG 2024 scores.
National Testing Agency
The Ministry of Education and UGC enforced the National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET). NTA Conducted this test for admissions to postgraduate programs in central, state, and other participating universities, Institutions, Organizations, and Autonomous Colleges.
CUET-PG holds broad acceptance as an entrance test in India. This exam came into existence for the motive of admission to postgraduate programs including Psychology in different universities. The National Testing Agency (NTA) came into existence as a special and autonomous organization by the Ministry of Education (Government of India) to conduct various examinations such as NET JRF, JEE, NEET, and other higher education entrances including CUET UG & PG.
Students can now start preparation for CUET-PG for admission to TISS. Like other universities, CUET-PG has opened a single window for students to get into TISS.
