Steps for CUET PG Admissions
Every year, National Testing Agency opens the window of registration for CUET PG Entrance Exams. Students have to visit the official website of NTA and register there as new users to get an application number. Here is the step to the admissions to institutes after CUET PG Entrance.
Step 1: Registration for the Exam
To apply for admission to a postgraduate program through the CUET PG, you need to first register for the entrance exam. For registration, you have to visit the official website of the CUET PG and fill out the registration form. You are to provide personal details, academic qualifications, and other relevant information as required.
Step 2: Fill Out the Application
After successfully registering for the CUET PG entrance exam, you need to log in to CUET PG portal. After login, you need to fill out the detailed CUET PG application form. The form includes sections where you need to specify your choice of program code (like for psychology the course is HUQP20), upload necessary documents such as educational certificates, photographs, and signatures, and pay the application fee if applicable. Make sure to review all the details entered before submitting the form.
Step 3: Appearing in the Entrance Exam
Once you have submitted the application form, you will be scheduled to appear for the CUET PG entrance exam on the allotted date and time. CUET PG Psychology (HUQP20) exam includes the 75 MCQ type question based on Psychology syllabus only. Each question carries 4 marks.
Step 4: Announcement of CUET PG Result
After taking the entrance exam, you will have to wait for the official announcement of the results in order to get your CUET score. The NTA will announce the result on their official website within a certain timeframe after the exam date. You can check your results online using your registration credentials.
Step 5: Opening of Counseling windows
Upon the declaration of the CUET PG entrance exam results, the counseling windows will start in all the participating Universities or Colleges. During this phase, you will be required to make a list of institutions where you want to get admission.
Fill out the online application for counseling separately in all the selected institutions. Here you will be required to enter your CUET PG roll number and CUET score with other details.
The institutions will create a cut-off or merit list based on the score entered by student during counselling window, and make the list publicly available on their website. The list will include the Name of selected candidates in order to their marks and provided with deadlines for admission.
Step 6: Document Verification/Interview
Subsequently, candidates may be required to attend an interview (wherever required), only few institutes like TISS Mumbai takes the Interview. But rest of the universities will call selected student for document verification. On successfully document verification student get their final admission in the choice of their college.
