Offline applications in prescribed format are invited by NIEPMD, Chennai for admissions to M.Phil in Clinical Psychology course for the academic year 2023-25.
The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (Divyangjan), known as NIEPMD, is affiliated with institutions by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. It is established in 2005 under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India with the aim to serve as a National Resource Center for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities such as those with two or more disabilities in a person.
M.Phil in Clinical Psychology
It is a Professional Clinical Training Program with a duration of 2 years. The candidate should have cleared MA/M.Sc. in Psychology / Applied Psychology / Counselling Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) in the aggregate to be eligible for the course. The candidates in their final semester of PG Degree are also eligible for the course. The is a total of 13 seat intake in NIEPMD for this course.

The institute will provide a stipend of ₹10,000 from II Year onwards.
The fee for the program is around ₹1,20,000 per annum
Application Procedure
The candidates must download the Application Form by clicking HERE, fill up the required details, and send it to the Institute by POST only. The following document copies must be self-attested with the Application Forms:
- X / SSLC / Equivalent Marksheet
- HSC / Sr. Sec / Intermediate / +2 Equivalent Marksheet
- Under-Graduation Degree Certificate
- Post-Graduation / Integrated Program
- Higher Qualification (if any)
Registration Fee:
- ₹1500 (for General / OBC)
- ₹750 (for SC/ST/EWS
No Registration Fee for PwD candidates.
Entrance Examination
The students have to appear for Written Examination at the Institute. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes. There will be 100 MCQ-type questions. The shortlisted candidates shall appear for the Interview. The Entrance Exam and Interview will account for 60% and 40% of the overall score, respectively.
The examination will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates must report NIEPMD by 9:00 AM.
