Offline 240 hours Psychology Internship

The internship provides learners with an opportunity to integrate theoretical knowledge, research, and organisational, clinical, or counselling skills (as required). The internship program is designed according to the requirements of various universities, including IGNOU.

The internship program will be carried out in collaboration with Utsaah Psychology Clinic, Paschim Vihar, Delhi(Web: http://www.utsaah.co/). It involves learning, understanding, diagnosing, and management skill training as a requirement of the internship program by using a variety of approaches.

The internship curriculum is divided into three parts to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

In the first part, Lectures cover an introduction to psychotherapy and classification systems, providing essential concepts and ideas to prepare you for real clinical scenarios. Learners will also learn how to plan therapeutic sessions and receive focused training in various psychological issues, including:

Mood Disorders
Anxiety disorders
Substance abuse
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
ADHD, etc.

Therapeutic training will include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), behavioural therapy, and other psychological interventions.

In the second part, Clinical Assessment emphasises the importance of mental state examinations, equipping you to observe and describe a patient's current state of mind in a structured manner. You will also learn the techniques of effective case history-taking, which is vital for understanding a client’s problems and needs, and develop clinical interview and diagnostic interview skills.

In the third part, Case Studies and Other Activities ensures practical application through role plays, group discussions, and the completion of at least 10 case studies, providing you with rich, hands-on experience throughout the internship.

Certification:

After the Successful Completion of the Internship and Exams, the Intern will get a certificate for this, along with the details about the skills that they learned.
