Guwahati University has started inviting applications for the Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health, Tezpur’s Clinical Psychology program for the session of 2025. The LGBRIMH offers an MPhil in Clinical Psychology as well as a PhD. The LGBRIMH is affiliated with Guwahati University, which is a renowned public institution on its own, located in Assam. The course offered by LGBRIMH MPhil Clinical Psychology (2025) is also recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), meeting the regulatory requirements for professional training in clinical psychology.
Method of Selection
Selection at LGBRIMH’s MPhil in Clinical Psychology will be based on the marks obtained in the test, called the Guwahati University Research Eligibility Test (GURET) 2025, conducted by the Guwahati University (GU). The test will be of the MCQ type.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have an MA or MSc in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Candidates appearing in MA/MSc final exam can also apply; however, they must present their final MA/MSc passing Certificate/Mark sheet at the time of the entrance test.
Exam Pattern
- The Entrance test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, the syllabus of the test will be that of PG PG-level psychology course.
- The total time allotted is 2 hours.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
- After the declaration of results, selected candidates will be called for counselling and document verification.
