The application window is open from <strong>8 October to 28 October 2026<\/strong>, with a late application window available until <strong>31 October 2026<\/strong> upon payment of an additional fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s everything you need to know about the eligibility criteria, examination pattern, syllabus, age limits, fees, important dates, and application process for UGC NET December 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET December 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Testing Agency (NTA) has outlined the following eligibility criteria for UGC NET December 2026:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Educational Qualification &#8211; Master\u2019s Degree Route<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates must have a <strong>Master\u2019s degree or equivalent<\/strong> from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum required marks:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>55%<\/strong> for General\/Unreserved and General-EWS candidates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>50%<\/strong> for OBC-NCL (Central List), SC, ST, PwD, PwBD, and Third Gender candidates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The minimum percentage is calculated <strong>without rounding off<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final-Year and Result-Awaiting Candidates<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates pursuing their Master&#8217;s degree who are in their final year, have appeared for their qualifying examination and are awaiting results, or whose results have been delayed, may also apply provisionally.
