Update: 18 September 2026: The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) has updated the approval status of Santosh Medical College (Deemed to be University), Ghaziabad, for the 2026–27 academic session.

In the RCI’s latest update dated 17 September 2026, Santosh Medical College (Institute Code: UP261) is no longer listed with approval for the MPhil Clinical Psychology programme. Instead, the institution has been granted approval for the Master in Clinical Psychology (M.Clin.Psy.) programme.

The earlier RCI-approved institutions list dated 3 September 2026 had listed Santosh Medical College for MPhil Clinical Psychology for the 2026–27 to 2030–31 period, with an approved intake of 16 seats. The admission information in the earlier version of this article was based on that list and the institute’s MPhil admission notice.

As the approval status has since been updated, candidates should not rely on the MPhil admission information below as confirmation of current MPhil admissions at Santosh Medical College. Candidates interested in pursuing Clinical Psychology at SMC Ghaziabad should refer to the latest RCI approval information and the institution’s current admission notification for the M.Clin.Psy. programme.
