JSS Mysuru Clinical Psychology Admissions 2026

The JSS Medical College, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER) (Deemed To Be University), Mysuru, has begun accepting application forms for its clinical psychology programs for the 2026-27 academic session. The Rehabilitation Council of India recognizes its programmes for meeting the regulatory standards of professional training in clinical psychology.

Programs Offered

The following are the two programs offered by the JSS Medical College:

Program Duration & Number of Seats

For MA Clinical Psychology (RCI)

  • Duration: 2 Years; Full-time course
  • Number of Seats: 10 (Ten)

For Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PDCP)

  • Duration: 1 Year; Full-time course
  • Number of Seats: 10 (Ten)

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to get admission into JSS Medical College’s Clinical Psychology Programs.

For MA Clinical Psychology

  • A 4-year BA/BSc degree in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university
  • Minimum aggregate marks:
    • 55% for General category
    • 50% for SC/ST candidates (as per GoI norms)
  • Candidates who have completed a 3-year bachelor’s degree in Psychology are also eligible, provided they have completed:
    • A Fourth-Year Bridge Course, or the First Year of a Master’s Program in Psychology,
    • with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.

For Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PDCP)

  • An MA/MSc degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Applied Psychology.
  • Degree must be from a UGC-recognized university
  • Minimum aggregate marks:
    • 55% for General category
    • 50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates (as per GoI norms)

Method of Selection

Selection for the MA Clinical Psychology (RCI) and Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PDCP) programs at JSS Medical College is based on performance in the JSS AHER PGCET Entrance Test, followed by a Viva-voce.

  • A merit list is prepared based on candidates’ performance and published on the official JSS AHER website.
  • Seats allotted during counselling are final.
  • In case seats remain vacant after exhausting the entrance test merit list, they may be filled based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
  • If two or more candidates secure equal marks in the entrance test, their relative merit will be decided based on aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

    • PDCP: Foundations and General Psychology/Theories, Physiological and Cognitive Psychology, Developmental and Personality Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Assessment, Social Psychology, Research Methodology & Statistics.

  • Step3: Prepare required documents
    • Keep scanned copies of the following ready in JPG/PDF format:
      • 10th & 12th mark sheets
      • UG/PG mark sheets (as applicable)
      • Recent passport-size photograph
      • Signature
  • Step4: Complete online registration & application
    • Register and fill out the online application form for:
      • MA Clinical Psychology, or
      • Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology
  • Step5: Pay the application fee online
    • Make the payment through debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI, or QR scan. Offline payment is not accepted.
  • Step6: Submit & print the application form
    • After submission, download and keep a printed copy of the application form for future reference.

NOTE: The application fee is non-refundable, and once submitted, the application cannot be edited.

Examination Venue

The JSS AHER PGCET Entrance Examination for MA Clinical Psychology and Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology will be conducted at the JSS Medical College campus, Mysuru.
