UPS Education, a unit of Utsaah Psychological Services, provides online psychology internships under the supervision of the Utsaah Psychology Clinic.
This internship will be helpful for individuals interested in knowing the basic applications and tools of various psychological approaches, psychology students who required a psychology internship during their course, and for psychology professionals who want to build insight for their own practice.
Internships are useful for the University of Delhi, Amity University, IGNOU, and many others.
The internship will begin in the first week of September
Mode of Instruction:
Online (via Zoom App)
Facilitators/Agency Supervisor:
Gayathri Narayan, Vikasni Kannan, Saumya Sharan, Gunjan Joshi and 2 other Clinical Psychologist
(all facilitators are RCI registered Clinical psychologists.)
Part 1 Theory Lectures:
Introduction to Psychotherapy and Classification of ICD and DSM: You will get the necessary pieces of information and ideas just before facing real situations.Therapeutic Training: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, Various Psychological Therapies.
Part 2: Clinical Assessment:
Mental state examinations are an important part of the clinical assessment in which we observe and describe the patient's current state of mind, especially behavioral and cognitive functioning, in a structured way.
Case History Training is one of the major steps of Psychological Treatment and intervention. The case study is an in-depth study and Right Technique helps us to understand our client's problems and needs as a mental health worker. So in this internship, you will learn the right skills and strategies to perform an effective case study.
Clinical Interview/Diagnostic Interview skills are also a part of this section.
Part 3 Case Studies:
Two case studies will be carried out during the one month internship.
